Turmoil raged within. It wanted to come out but did not know how. Music paved the way to bring things to the surface, resulting in a Portuguese musical project, “Finito e mais além”, a band that mixed fado, bossa nova and Portuguese indie to create modern-day lamentations. Our first album is called “Night of the Faith”, capturing the sense of crisis, the doubt within the faith, the anguish of loneliness, the tender vulnerability. The second, “Noble Ruin”, takes tentative steps towards a realistic hope. It is about the tension within, now decline, now restoration; we journey “meanwhile”, in our now but not yet.

Os Finito e mais além — Emily Lange, David Lange e Cláudia Monteiro — misturam reflexões com fado, bossa nova e indie português, a duas guitarras e duas vozes. O nosso primeiro álbum, Noite da Fé (2020), é um conjunto de lamentações modernas sobre solidão, depressão e vulnerabilidade. O segundo álbum, Nobre Ruína (2024) é sobre a nossa tensão constante entre declínio e restauração. A gravação de cada álbum só foi possível graças a concertos por donativos em 2019 e 2023.
